SIDE nu

SIDE was created for windows platform several years ago using Borland Delphi. However, the need was felt to recreate the same magic of SIDE using modern technologies. Therefore, xSIDESOFT, India is involved in redeveloping the entire project using cutting edge technologies as they become available.

SIDE nu an endeavor in this direction. It consists of SIDE and its base class libraries. It allows users to create their entire system using SIDE and a bit of coding using Delphi or Pascal. It uses extremely fast Delphi compiler to create the entire system for the user. Also, the user can exchange models or use existing models to build new ones upon them.

SIDE nu also allows use of any legacy code that the user might be in possession of to be used in his system. Such legacy code can be in any language.

Further on, SIDE nu allows users to connect with Rhino, a 3D graphics engine using VB scripting technologies permitting the person creating the models to see real time 3D graphics of this model.

Expected release date: 1st January 2012.

SIDE.NET

SIDE.NET is a parallel attempt to emulate and enhance the features of SIDE using Microsoft's .NET technologies.

In addition to the features of SIDE nu, SIDE.NET is going to allow the users to use Microsoft's .NET base classes and leverage the community support that is available for the technology.

SIDE.NET will be using some of the best technologies around such as .NET ver 3.00, LINQ and SQL Server Compact Edition.

xSIDE

xSIDE is a version of SIDE for various industries. It has the capability to be further developed into industry specific products. For example, SIDE can be customized for car manufacturers with more relevant library components and can be called AutoSIDE. The 'x' in xSIDE stands for the ability of SIDE to grow into anything that the user wants, an implication from the algebraic 'x'.
